- The North American Butterfly Association (NABA) is a national, non-profit organization, working to promote the public enjoyment and conservation of butterflies. The organization is interested in all aspects of recreational, non-consumptive (i.e. netless) butterfly appreciation, including butterfly gardening, identification, observation, photography and conservation.
- NABA members are invited to participate in the Annual 4th of July Butterfly Counts (held in May in Florida). The counts are an excellent way for beginners and experts to increase their knowledge of butterfly identification and to contribute to this important study measuring the health of the environent.
- NABA holds Biennial Meetings and meetings of the local chapters which members are welcome to attend
